Our commitment to change
Creating memorable experiences with responsibility for the future
At Blick, we are committed to sustainability and eco-friendly practices in event management. Climate projects reduce, prevent or remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. This is achieved, for example, through the development of renewable energy, forest protection or by replanting forests, projects with social effects such as clean and fuel-efficient stoves, clean drinking water or other technologies.
Leading the change
Comprehensive event services with a sustainable focus
We are not blind to the fact that our industry creates challenges when it comes to environmental impact, and we are humble about making our business completely sustainable, but our overall goal is to deliver only sustainable events. As an event agency, we are largely guided by our customers' expectations and requirements, but everything we can do together to improve the climate is a step in the right direction.
Reducing our footprint
We commit to reducing the footprint we leave as an organisation on the world around us and we take a holistic approach based on social, economic and ecological sustainability.
ISO20121
In our sustainability work, we have followed ISO 20121, the sustainability management system for events.
The Climate Pact
We are members of the Climate Pact - a collaboration between the City of Stockholm and companies/organisations that want to reduce their climate impact.
Compensate the carbon emissions of your event
Transport, waste, foods and drinks are all contributors to the emission of greenhouse gases, even if you try to economize on resources. While it is possible to prioritize climate-smart transportation, place the event close to public transport and choose locally produced and vegetarian food, it is not always possible to completely minimize one's emissions. Climate compensation is a way of taking responsibility for one's climate impact, and this also applies to event production.
When you hire Blick to arrange a meeting or event, you are offered climate compensation for either a part of, or the event as a whole. Emissions from travel, energy, waste, foods and drinks are compensated through the purchase of reduction units that correspond to the size of the emissions and which are invested in different climate projects all over the world.

Sustainable events are events that are planned, carried out and run with environmental, social and economic aspects in mind. Here are some important principles for Blick Meetings when it comes to sustainable events:
Environmental consideration:
We always strive to reduce our environmental impact, including by reducing energy consumption, using renewable energy sources, minimizing waste and maximizing the recycling and reuse of materials. This may mean using recyclable or compostable materials, reducing the emission of greenhouse gases and choosing premises with good public transport options.
Social responsibility:
Blick Meetings takes into account social and ethical issues by promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. It includes ensuring fair working conditions and having a generous health profile for staff that counteracts stress, mental illness and occupational injuries. We respect human rights and treat all people equally and promote cooperation with local authorities and organizations. We must always have a respectful and inclusive company culture that counteracts group formation and exclusion and of course a zero tolerance towards bullying, sexism and discrimination.
Financial sustainability:
For us, sustainable events are also financially sustainable, which means that we always strive to manage resources and costs efficiently.
Participation and awareness:
Blick Meetings engages and educates staff in sustainability issues on an ongoing basis to increase awareness and inspire action. By extension, this means that we strive to include sustainability-related activities, lectures and workshops in our customers' event programs.
Measurement and evaluation:
Our events are evaluated and measured afterwards to assess whether they are successful, but also to identify areas for improvement. This means, for example, that we collect data on energy consumption and waste management.
Waste management
We sort all waste at source and always recycle materials as far as possible
Accommodation
We primarily choose hotels and conference facilities that have active environmental and sustainability work and follow a clearly established sustainability policy
Food and drinks
We work actively to be able to present sustainable alternatives to our customers, for example by choosing fish that is fished or farmed in a sustainable way and primarily working with locally produced and organic products
Ethical values
We work for equality internally and externally and have zero tolerance for any form of abusive treatment
Transport and travel
Most often, it is the visitors' or participants' journeys to and from the event that are the largest single factor in greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to active work to be able to present sustainable transport alternatives, we also offer our customers climate compensation for their event
Availability
We adapt accessibility so that everyone can participate in the event and ensure that, for example, hearing loops and microphones are available
Purchasing routines
We avoid disposable items as far as possible and use environmental and energy labels when purchasing and prioritize suppliers who actively work with sustainability (Svanen, EU Ecolabel etc.)
Education and development
We get involved and stay up-to-date on environmental issues through continuous training
